THE TUSCARAWAS EQUESTRIAN TEAM IS ON A ROLL!!









The Tuscarawas Middle School Team was almost undefeated this year! Out of 5 shows we were Champions 4 times! Not too shabby girls!!

Both teams are qualified for Regionals and lots of the girls have qualified as well. We will be finishing up the show season in later winter and Regionals are being held March 13-14th 2010 at the Andrews School. We are hoping to make it to Nationals this year because they are being held in Georgia!!

Welcome New Boarders!!

Hunter Ridge Farm would like to welcome its two newest boarders!!

Tina Wallick and her Fresian Cross named Sully and Gayle Reichert and her two horses, Flame who is an Arabian and Grace who is an Anglo Arab. Welcome to the barn ladies!!

At the first IEA Show of the year, held at South Farm, the Tuscarawas Equestrian Team took Reserve Champion High School Team and Champion Middle School Team!!

Congrats to both the high school and middle school teams for taking both 3rd places at the last IEA Show at the Andrews School on October 17-18th 2009.

RPSI Inspections!

The RPSI inspections was a blast. It was great to see all the foals and mares. The day was beautiful and the little girls (and Doc!) showed well! Avita came home with a Gold and Alluce with Silver. Here is the youtube video links.

Avita left this week to go to her new home in Arizona. I hope Jackie and Ava have a great time together. She is a special Filly.

Fillies Fillies!!



Here are some photos of Avita and Alluce. Both babies are so good and friendly. Their big day to shine is coming up on August 15th at the Rheinland Inspections!

Summer is flying by!!

I would like to give a big congrats to Brenna Deneher and Emerson for earning Reserve Champion in the novice rider at the Chagrin Valley Classic horse show on July 4th 2009!! It was a great show and everyone had a good time! Cheyanne Shook and Maximum Control took a First in the equitation class for the Beginner Rider. Emily Kate and Rumor Has It placed First, Second and three thirds in the Intermediate Rider Division.

Another Congrats to Chappelle for placing Reserve Champion Best Young Horse at the Chagrin Valley Classic in the Hunter Breeding. It was his first horse show and he was fantastic!

Then at Buckeye Horse Park on July 18th 2009 we came home with lots of champs and reserve champs!
* Jen Lute and her horse Unsung were reserve champion of the Walk Trot division.
* Whitney Kneffler and Coffee came home with first seconds and thirds in the w/t/c crossrails
*Elle Bichsel and Tarry-A-Bit Apollo took Champion in the w/t crossrails horse. This was Apollo's first horse show jumping!
* Emily Kate and Rumor Has It took the Reserve Champion for the Intermediate Rider Division
* Nicole Staley and Emerson took home a first, third and two fourths in the beginner rider division.

Way to Go Everyone!!

Next up is the welsh pony show in Canfield Ohio. That should be a great time!!

Busy Summer at Hunter Ridge Farm!!

There has been a lot happening around Hunter Ridge Farm this summer! The show season has been underway and the girls of Hunter Ridge Farm are cleaning up! Our next show is July 4th at the Chagrin Valley PHA horse show. Then on July 18th we will be attending a show at Buckeye Horse Park.



Both Apiro Fillies are doing great! They have gotten so big! I would like to congratulate Jaclyn Paquet of Arizona on the purchase of Avita and Wendy Peralta of Florida on the purchase of Alluce. Kunstlerisch (Avita's dam) has already been rebred to Apiro for 2010!! We also have the hanoverian mare Felicita, owned by Stacey Markel, due in March 2010 to Royal Prince!!

Hunter Ridge Happenings!

















Tuscarawas Equestrian Team Riders Place at the IEA National Finals!!

Cheyanne Shook (left) took home the reserve champion for the Future Beginner class at the IEA national finals held 4/30-5/3/09 at Lake Erie College. Elle Bichsel (right)took home a 5th place for the Future Novice Crossrails class. Way to go girls!!





While at the IEA Nationals both broodmares decided to foal on 4/30/09 15 minutes apart!!! Sassy and Kammy gave birth to two beautiful fillies by Apiro! More pictures to come!!

April 2009

Apiro

April 2009


On April 4-5th the Tuscarawas Equestrian Team competed at the IEA Zone 5 competition. It was held in Albion Michigan. We had a great time despite the cold weather! Congrats to Elle Bichsel and Cheyanne Shook for qualifying for the National Competition at Lake Erie College May 1-3rd.


We are also waiting the arrival of the first foal for the year! This foal is by Kameliendame out of Apiro! Here is a like to a foaling camera that is on Kammy!
